
Winner of the 2013 Alain Peters and Musiques de l’océan Indien Prices, Maya Kamaty presents us her folk maloya everywhere in the world since. We can hear in her music the drums of her home island; she gives her own visions of the traditional maloya in a new version that belongs not only to the Reunion but also to the whole world. New comer of this genre, we will have now to count with her and her grace. Her first album “Santié Papang” was released in late October 2014.
